You will lead accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations for a large, multi-state workforce while overseeing and developing the team responsible for delivering them. In addition to payroll, you will partner with HR Operations on a variety of projects that will simplify and enhance the employee experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of Progressive payroll, program management, and/or leadership
  • Working understanding of multi-state payroll, payroll tax, and wage-and-hour compliance
  • Demonstrated success leading projects and process improvements beyond core payroll
  • Strong analytical skills, with comfort working across systems, data, and reporting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priority
  • Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes

Responsibilities

  • Leads end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring pay is accurate, compliant, and on time across all payroll cycles
  • Leads and contributes to HR systems or cross functional projects reaching beyond payroll
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and wage-and-hour requirements, along with internal controls and audit standards
  • Identifies and executes solutions to simplify, modernize, and/or increase the competitiveness of our pay practices
  • Supports the configuration, testing and implementation of payroll and time-tracking system enhancements that improve the employee experience
  • Streamlines processes, strengthen controls, and reduce manual work through automation and use of AI or other advancements
  • Coaches, cross-trains, and develops team members, focusing on high performance, service-orientation, and business continuity
  • Other duties as assigned
