PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Maintenance Scheduler/ Parts Room Supervisor is a dual working role that schedules production equipment maintenance through the prioritization of ready work orders, equipment preventative maintenance (PM) due and emergency repair requests to minimize production disruption as well as oversees the day-to-day activities of hourly associates engaged in monitoring and distributing parts needed for repairs. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Evaluate maintenance work order load, upcoming PMs, any emergency repair requests, availability of parts and/ or equipment and time needed for repairs daily; prioritize and re-schedule repairs and PMs to maximize efficiently of maintenance staff while minimizing disruption to production Generate and update equipment preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, adjusting as needed to meet changing conditions (i.e. run times, production schedules, etc.) Maintain records for maintenance performed, parts used, cost, etc. for effective analysis Develop and maintain the back log of ready to complete work orders for maintenance staff Run and distribute open item report, verifying accuracy of report, and distribute to appropriate personnel Create work orders as needed ensuring all information is complete and accurate Oversee the day-to-day activities of associates engaged in monitoring and distributing parts Mentor, coach and train/ cross-train employees encouraging career development; provide consistent feedback concerning strengths and areas in need of improvement Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementation Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culture Perform additional relevant duties as assigned SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: This role is a Leader of People role with required competencies: Sizing up People, Delegation, Planning, Customer Focus and Conflict Management
