About The Position

The Maintenance Parts Room clerk is responsible for managing the inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring accurate inventory records, and supporting maintenance operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management software. Reports to the maintenance coordinator, leads and maintenance manager in that order.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with inventory management and/or maintenance software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and follow up
Well organized, with the ability to multi-task
Ability to work in various temperatures
Sound judgment, problem solving and common-sense thinking skills
Basic understanding of GMPs and HACCP
Ability to work early hours, overtime, weekends and holidays
Average computer skills required
Ability to add, subtract and perform basic calculations
Internet ordering and tracking

Bilingual skills-Spanish/English preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records, including parts received, issued, and stock levels.
Order parts and supplies as needed, receive incoming shipments, and verify accuracy.
Organize and label parts in the parts room for easy access and retrieval.
Utilize inventory management software to track parts and generate reports.
Assist maintenance personnel in locating and acquiring necessary parts for repairs. Also perform maintenance duties and support the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager and Production Managers as needed.
Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Perform plant wide checks to keep the team ready for independent required audits.
Maintain a clean and safe parts room environment, adhering to safety protocols.
