About The Position

UCP Oregon is seeking a Supported Living Specialist to work one-on-one with adults who experience developmental disabilities, helping them live independently in their own homes. This role involves empowering clients to make their own choices, learn new skills, and participate in community activities. Responsibilities may include assisting with household chores, personal care such as showering, and medication administration. The position offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients and gain experience in social services, social justice, non-profits, and healthcare. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Be able to transport clients in your car.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a current driver’s license.
  • Have a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Have at least two years of driving experience.
  • Have auto insurance.
  • Have a clean driving record.
  • Be able to pass a reference check.
  • Be able to pass a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs.
  • Be able to pass a criminal history background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developmental disability field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Help adults who experience developmental disabilities live independently in their own houses and apartments.
  • Assist clients in making their own choices.
  • Help clients learn new skills.
  • Support clients in engaging in fun activities in the community.
  • Provide assistance with chores.
  • Assist with personal care such as showering and medication administration.
  • Work one-on-one with clients to build real relationships.
