About The Position

UCP Oregon is seeking TWO Supported Living Specialists to assist adults who experience developmental disabilities in living independently in their own homes. This role involves empowering clients to make their own choices, learn new skills, and participate in community activities. Responsibilities may include assisting with household chores, personal care such as showering, and medication administration. The position offers the opportunity to work one-on-one, build meaningful relationships, and gain experience in social services, social justice, non-profits, and healthcare. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a current driver's license.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
• Must have at least two years of driving experience.
• Must have auto insurance.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a reference check.
• Must be able to pass a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs.
• Must be able to pass a criminal history background check.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the developmental disability field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with developmental disabilities to live independently in their own houses and apartments.
• Help clients make their own choices.
• Assist clients in learning new skills.
• Facilitate participation in community activities.
• Provide assistance with chores.
• Provide assistance with personal care, including showering.
• Administer medication.
• Build real relationships with clients through one-on-one work.
• Be on-call for 35 days per year.
