About The Position

Wall Residences is seeking a Supported Living Program Manager to join their growing team in the Winchester, Virginia area, with travel to Northern VA (e.g., Ashburn, Leesburg). This role focuses on making a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing developmental disabilities. The Supported Living program provides in-home services directed by the individual and their person-centered plan, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in skill-building, managing routines, and providing general and safety supports to enable success in home and community settings. The program aims to optimize individual initiative, autonomy, and self-awareness. Supported Living assists individuals in maintaining independence in their homes with access to 24-hour support, including supervision for health and safety, activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and general supports for personal growth and quality of life. The program also focuses on developing and generalizing skills through skill-building to promote self-direction and social connections.

Requirements

  • Clinical background with working knowledge of person-centered service development and positive behavior supports.
  • Ability to develop supportive relationships with Direct Support Professional Staff, individuals receiving services, and their families.
  • Background connecting people to meaningful community activities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field.
  • Home office and internet access required.
  • Active driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Pass a criminal background check with acceptable results.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities (DD).
  • Two years’ experience supervising employees.

Responsibilities

  • Develop supportive relationships with Direct Support Professional Staff, individuals receiving services, and their families.

  • Ensure an individual’s health and safety.
  • Address necessary activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Manage instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Provide general supports necessary for personal growth and quality of life.
  • Develop and/or generalize skills through skill building that promotes self-direction and social connections.
  • Act as a mandated reporter of abuse and neglect for individuals with disabilities.
