Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, education, social work, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in supported employment, employment services, workforce development, or pre-employment transition services.
  • ACRE Certification and/or Certified Supported Employment Professional credentials.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with individuals with disabilities, employers, families, and partner agencies.
  • Apply a person-first, positive behavioral support approach to employment planning.
  • Proficiency in documentation and case management systems.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to mentor others.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of a SOAR365 driving test.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and Therapeutic Options certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive direct and indirect job coaching and employment supports to individuals with disabilities, including conducting situational assessments and implementing effective training techniques to build and sustain employment skills.
  • Leads job development, coaching, and follow-along services to support competitive integrated employment, while consistently meeting billable hour expectations.
  • Completes intakes, employment plans, case notes, and reports using Netsmart; maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
  • Provides transportation when needed.
  • Mentors Employment Specialist I staff.
  • Supports understanding of DARS and Medicaid Waiver processes.
  • Maintains active relationships with at least eight inclusive business partners.
  • Identifies program challenges and recommends solutions.
  • Collaborates with leadership on program objectives.
  • Effectively supports volunteers and interns.
  • Requires schedule flexibility, participation in trainings and meetings, and ongoing compliance with all agency policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
