Position Summary: HII: Mission Technologies is seeking a Supportability Engineer to support Predictive Logistics (PL) technology evaluation and platform integration efforts for the Program Executive Office Combat Support & Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS) Project Lead Integration (PL-I) Office. The Supportability Engineer Serves as a technical and program support specialist within Project Lead Integration (PL-I), leading data-driven initiatives to modernize Army tactical vehicle maintenance, safety, and readiness. Responsible for coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across Capability Program Executive, Combat Logistics (CPE CL), contractors, and research institutions to develop and implement predictive logistics capabilities. Executes advanced data analysis, document management, and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) provisioning to support Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) efforts and emerging technologies. Acts as a key liaison between CPE CL, industry partners, and research institutions to synchronize the implementation of Prognostics & Predictive Maintenance (PPM) capabilities. Leads rapid hardware prototyping, including the design, fabrication, and testing of custom communication and power harnesses, ensuring seamless integration between prototype hardware and Army vehicle architectures. Directly supports NDAA Section 389 safety initiatives by facilitating secure data retrieval, digital chain-of-custody, and forensic analysis of vehicle systems (ECMs/DSDUs). Drives the Army’s digital transformation by conducting technical research, hardware evaluations, and acquisition support for AI/ML-enabled logistics solutions. Requirements

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
  • Knowledge of CBM+, PPMx, and PL technologies and their application to ground vehicle systems.
  • Demonstrated resource management and program management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with SE Process.
  • Ability to identify and align internal and external stakeholders with strategic goals.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance (which means US citizenship is required)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical SME support to PEO CS&CSS PL-I office in the development, evaluation, and integration of Predictive Logistics (PL) enabling technologies and identify and solve engineering challenges to enable PL.
  • Assist with integration efforts with vehicle data buses, data loggers, secure wireless data transfer, analysis of vehicle data at different echelons, and software solutions to digitize maintenance within Army motorpools.
  • Serve as a PEO CS&CSS PL-I technical SME supporting the Army's PL Overarching Integrated Project Team (OIPT) working with SMEs from AFC, AMC, ASA(ALT), CASCOM and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide update briefings to leadership on PL engineering and analysis efforts for the ground domain.
  • Support the evaluation of commercial and government developed PL enabling technology solutions for application across PEO CS&CSS platforms, and support hands on soldier evaluation of these technologies.
