About The Position

To provide support to the production line. This role involves setting up the line with necessary supplies, equipment, or tools, and performing any assigned task to assist in a designated area. The position requires active participation as a team member, contributing to the development and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. Team members are expected to foster cohesiveness, identify and resolve issues, and support the larger organization's objectives. Familiarity with Simmons' operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies) is essential, along with understanding the impact of individual actions and communicating concerns or improvement ideas. The role also includes performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives, with the understanding that the description is a guide and not exhaustive.

Requirements

• Frequent lifting and carrying tubs of product to be dumped into totes
• Stand for entire shift
• Lift and dump up to 100 lbs
• May require pulling loaded pallets with jack 25% of shift
• Std Waterproof gloves, hearing protection
• May be required to wear steel-toe footwear
• Basic math skills
• Basic English comprehension skills
• Ability to make good decisions
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and leadership team

Nice To Haves

• Preference for poultry or food processing organization
• High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Sets up line with any supplies, equipment or tools necessary for production.
• Performs any task assigned to assist in a designated area.
• Participates as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness and supporting B.E.S.T practices.
• Maintains familiarity with Simmons’ operating systems and understands the role in supporting these systems.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
