About The Position

Home Care Assistance is seeking casual PSWs for a group home in Tottenham. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and possess a current CPI blue card and a Broad Sector Check. Requirements

PSW certification from a public college/learning center OR additional NACC certification is preferred
PSW experience of over 2 years is required
Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
Valid CPR/First Aid certification
Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
Broad Sector Check within last 4 months
CPI BLUE CARD
2 Satisfactory professional references
Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters

Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan
Supporting client with assigned physiotherapy exercises daily if required
Providing medication support and management
Providing cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral and spiritual support
Maintaining open communication with client and nurses
Monitoring care plan and adding detailed documentation with any changes and updates
Responding to all emergency situations
All other duties, as assigned
