Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do. Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’. We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards! We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us. The role involves supporting Jon, who communicates verbally, is fully mobile, and enjoys singing, drama, dancing, listening to music, and watching quiz shows. He likes weekly shopping at Sainsbury's and is a smoker. He is independent at home but requires support in the community. He enjoys spending time in his room listening to music or watching TV, singing, dancing, and wearing wigs. He likes Yorkshire tea with honey and digestive biscuits. He visits his mother weekly and speaks to her on the phone. He is a smoker and enjoys watching quiz shows and music videos on TV. The service is a lone working service with one staff member on at all times. Staff work 8am to 8pm, with a waking night shift from 8pm to 8am. Support staff need to be aware of mental health and acquired brain injury, be patient due to short memory, and understand that Jon dislikes crowded places and can become anxious and suffer panic attacks.
