This is a full-time Support Worker 3 position working with children and youth in an out-of-home emergency/urgency stabilization setting. The role involves collaborating with teams to implement care plans that support participants' involvement in person-centred programs promoting educational, behavioural, developmental, psychological, and emotional growth. The Support Worker will create and provide a safe, secure, and supportive environment by developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships that attend to the diverse needs of youth. This position requires navigating conflict, overcoming obstacles, and being creative in providing support while remaining calm and focused in crisis situations, utilizing effective de-escalation and decision-making skills. The role also involves working successfully with diverse groups and demonstrating a commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice.
