About The Position

Dave & Buster’s Gaming Support Techs, also called Midway Techs, repair and maintain the building’s games, simulators, and technical equipment. They assist Guests and maintain ideal player conditions in the midway, while helping provide an enjoyable environment for food, drinks, and games. The role includes Guest service, merchandise and supply upkeep, game maintenance, and general store maintenance. The position may involve working days, nights, and/or weekends as required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must clearly communicate with Guests and other Team Members.
Must be friendly and able to smile frequently while working days, nights, and/or weekends as required.
Must be able to work off an extension ladder.
Must be able to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions.
Must be able to move about the facility and stand for long periods.
Must be able to read and write handwritten notes.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Technical and/or electrical skills are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Keep the immediate supervisor informed of problems or unusual matters and take corrective action or suggest alternatives when appropriate.
Provide timely, accurate service and communicate with Guests, Team Members, and Managers about wait times and other information.
Greet Guests warmly, assist with requests and questions, make recommendations, and ensure their experience was satisfactory when they leave.
Repair and maintain amusement equipment in a timely manner.
Load and refill tickets in redemption games and secure ticket storage areas.
Notify a Manager about Guests who appear unhappy.
Stock, display, and secure merchandise; conduct inventory during and after shifts when applicable; and check that necessary supplies are restocked.
Bring work areas up to standard and discuss problem areas with a Manager.
Review the cleanliness and organization of midway games and ensure games are clean and unobstructed.
Position and set up displays to increase Guest traffic and promote sales.
Assist with daily maintenance and organization of the tech room and storage areas.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly game maintenance efficiently and safely as directed by management.
Assist with general store maintenance as directed by management.
Assist other Team Members as needed and foster a cooperative, harmonious working environment.
