About The Position

The Gardner School of Braintree is hiring a Support Teacher to work in its state-of-the-art preschool facility. The role supports children’s development through meaningful interactions and helps classroom teams maintain safe, organized, nurturing learning environments. The Support Teacher may step into classrooms to support Assistant Teachers during breaks or absences, help maintain child-to-staff ratios, and complete classroom tasks. The position requires EEC Teacher Certification and a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous early childhood experience is preferred, and the candidate must meet applicable state licensing and experience requirements.

Requirements

• EEC Teacher Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state-specific licensing and experience requirements.
• Ability to frequently lift or move 10 to 60 pounds when lifting, carrying, or holding children and infants.
• Ability to bend, reach, and move freely between classrooms.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in early childhood settings.
• CPR/First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities
