About The Position
The PK/ESE Classroom assistant is responsible for assisting the teacher in carrying out the requirements of the Individual Education Plans of exceptional students. To attend a minimum of six (6) hours annually of PK/ESE inservice offered by the ESE department. Work requires occasional physical exertion and or muscular strain. Work involves several disagreeable elements and or exposure to job hazards where there is some possibility of injury.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- From an Accredited College – Associate or Higher Degree or 60 Semester Hours or passing score of 458 or higher on Paraprofessional Test.
- 30 hours of Children and Family Services (CFS)
- Child Development Training

- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
