About The Position

The Fulton County Board of Health provides a variety of services that help protect residents from health threats, increase access to health services to improve health outcomes, and provide information that assists Fulton County citizens in living healthier lives. The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Support Service Worker (Customer Service Rep) within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Nursing & Clinical Services Division/Maternal and Child Health (MCH).

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years of experience communicating information in a customer service setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Maternal and Child Health or Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program
  • Bilingual proficency (e.g. English/Spanish)
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Familiarity with HIPPA and confidentiality requirements
  • Experience working with diverse populations

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Program by serving as a primary point of contact for families, healthcare providers and stakeholders.
  • Providing accurate information regarding newborn hearing screenings, diagnostic services and early intervention resources.
  • Assist with scheduling, referrals and follow-up coordination.
  • Enter, update and maintain client data in SENDSS/VHN.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA and state regulations.
  • Support outreach and education initiatives.
