Support Services Technician (Summa Canisters), Eurofins Environment Testing Air Toxics, Folsom, CA
About The Position
Eurofins Environment Testing, Air Toxics is seeking a Support Services Technician to join our team! This role involves cleaning and preparing sample media, packaging and shipping media to clients, building and repairing flow controllers, and assembling/dismantling shipping boxes. The position requires accuracy, attention to detail, the ability to perform physical requirements, adherence to safety protocols, good organizational skills, versatility, flexibility, efficiency, and effective time management. The technician must be able to interpret instructions, perform other support duties as assigned, and work closely with all departments. Additionally, this role requires hazardous material handling, including safely handling and transporting bulk chemicals such as cryogenic Dewars of liquid nitrogen, compressed gasses (helium, nitrogen, hydrogen), sharps, and liquid solvents (methylene chloride, acetonitrile, acetone). Employees must read and reference the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
Requirements
- Experienced in shipping, receiving, and/or warehousing
- Experience with processing orders using internal LIMS
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in use of shipping provider websites
- Ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced team environment
- Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Consciousness of and a positive attitude toward quality control, safety, high production work and organized thought process
- Good teamwork, ability to work closely with all the departments
- Knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Adherence to safety protocol and operation procedures
- Communicate well with coworkers and management
- Read, understand and comply with SOPs
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a continuous basis
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to work upright, bend and use hands and arms repetitively to perform moderate physical work duties
- Ability to push carts with objects on board weighing up to 50 pounds
- Hearing and speaking are needed to listen effectively and talk with individuals in person or on the phone
