About The Position

Eurofins Environment Testing, Air Toxics is seeking a Support Services Technician to join our team. This role involves cleaning and preparing sample media, packaging and shipping media to clients, building and repairing flow controllers, and assembling/dismantling shipping boxes. The position requires accuracy, attention to detail, the ability to perform physical requirements, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good organizational skills, versatility, flexibility, and efficiency, with effective time management for multiple priorities. They must be able to interpret and understand oral or written instructions, perform other support duties as assigned, and work closely with all departments. A significant aspect of the role includes Hazardous Material Handling, as the laboratory uses chemicals for sample analysis that can be harmful if not properly handled. This includes managing cryogenic Dewars of liquid nitrogen, compressed gasses (helium, nitrogen, hydrogen), sharps, and liquid solvents. Safe handling and transport of these bulk chemicals are essential, and the employee will be required to reference the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Injury and Illness Prevention Program.

Requirements

  • Experienced in shipping, receiving, and/or warehousing
  • Experience with processing orders using internal LIMS
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in use of shipping provider websites
  • Ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Consciousness of and a positive attitude toward quality control, safety, high production work and organized thought process
  • Good teamwork, ability to work closely with all the departments
  • Knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Adherence to safety protocol and operation procedures
  • Communicate well with coworkers and management
  • Read, understand and comply with SOPs
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a continuous basis, stand for prolonged periods
  • Work upright, bend and use hands and arms repetitively to perform moderate physical work duties
  • The ability to push carts with objects on board weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Hearing and speaking are needed to listen effectively and talk with individuals in person or on the phone
