About The Position

We are working with a leading international software company specialising in subsurface modelling and simulation, who are looking to hire a Support Production Engineer to join their growing team in Aberdeen.
This is an excellent opportunity for a production engineer looking to move into a more client-facing, dynamic role, combining technical expertise with user interaction, training, and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in production engineering or production technology
• Experience with production or network modelling tools (e.g. GAP, Prosper, tNavigator, Eclipse, CMG)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python for automation or data analysis
• Exposure to reservoir modelling or integrated workflows
• Previous experience in a client-facing or support role

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support to clients via email, phone, and occasional onsite visits
• Delivering training sessions to users and internal teams
• Developing example models and workflows to support client needs
• Supporting pre-sales activities alongside commercial teams
• Collaborating with development teams to enhance software functionality
• Participating in integrated simulation studies including data analysis, model building, and optimisation
• Representing the company at industry events and conferences where required
