About The Position

The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Underwriting Support Floater to join our team. This role supports underwriting operations by processing federal authority and state filings, performing quality assurance reviews, and assisting members with professionalism and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong phone communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of AS400 and Content Manager.
• Knowledge of trucking industry
• Bilingual (English, Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Filings: Issued as needed for Federal Authority and State Filings when policies are bound and as changes are made throughout the year
• Quality Assurance: Follow-ups are done on new and renewal accounts for signed paperwork or any other information that may be considered outstanding. Follow-ups may also be required when an endorsement has been processed. This may require contacting the insured to discuss paperwork that is outstanding.
• Policy Issuance: Complete and/or proof the Policy Wording and Policy Change Endorsements.
• Quarterly Probation and Fleet Reviews: Reviews are processed and submitted to the Underwriters for consideration as needed.
• Primary Liability Process: Reviews Primary Liability policies that bind to ensure information is correct, production is updated, and necessary follow-ups are created.
• Post-bind review: Reviews verified work histories and loss runs received after coverage binds as needed. Contacts insureds for additional information needed. Adjusts rates as needed based on information received.
