The Support Equipment & Simulator (SE & Sim) Engineer is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering LOC missile support equipment and simulators to support LOC missile handling, training, processing, and integration activities. This position is responsible for coordinating with the Shipboard and System-level integration teams to define requirements, schedules, delivery and usage of AUR Electronic Simulators (AURES) and AUR Simulators (AURS). This position is responsible to coordinate with the Facilities branch (SP048) to define requirements and schedules for LOC Missile Support Equipment (SE) required to support Strategic Weapons Facility (SWF) missile operations. Supports the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Program Protection Manager with the review of the Program Protection Implementation Plan (PPIP) and assist in managing the Program Protection Plan (PPP) for SSP command and field activities. Familiarity with implementing a complex Program Protection Program across a DoN command that integrates all security efforts throughout the entire life cycle of its systems and programs. Provides support to the customer by reviewing and developing command specific Program Protection material. Supports all projects and initiatives and responds to requests for information, compiles comments, tracks action items, and archives project communications.
