About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Support Equipment (SE) capability team, which is part of Boeing Global Services’ (BGS) Global Engineering Services (GSE) organization, is seeking a Mid-Level Support Equipment Configuration Management Specialist, located in Hazelwood, Mo. The role will support the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) within the SE System Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT). The SE SEIT is growing in response to a flurry of recent program wins as well as an increase in work statement on existing programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • 1+ years’ experience communicating, collaborating, and building consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must have a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Must be highly accountable, responsible, reliable, flexible, and take extreme ownership.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance post-start.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing prime contract and supplier contract change management requirements.
  • Generate configuration management plans.
  • Establish and apply methodology for product and document identification.
  • Prepare change control documents such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Requests for Variance (RFV), Change Documents/Change Requests (CD/CRs).
  • Conduct program Change Control Boards (CCB).
  • Perform configuration audits, and coordinate product configuration definition documentation.
  • Collaborate with fellow configuration management engineers on configuration management principles and job practices and support of industry quality audits for Configuration Management.
  • Perform determinations of export authority for technical work products.
  • Collaborate with customers.
  • Engage in program planning.
