Provides pre-sales technical expertise to the sales team and customers during the sales process | Provides technical input into bid proposals, projects and technical documents within the sales process and identifies additional sales opportunities with existing customers | Installs and demonstrates the organization's products at customer sites | Collaborates with sales teams to develop and recommend products and services to meet customers' requirements | Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the organization's and competitors' products and/or services We are looking for a Support Engineer for our Pulp and Water division in Riegelwood, North Carolina!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree
  • Solving complex and non-routine technical problems
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Industry and customer literate, or ability to pick up industry and Solenis technologies quickly
  • Drive for results; proactively addresses complex issues
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine testing and monitoring at the customer site including data entry and contributes to service report preparation
  • Interfaces with the customer to understand any issues with chemicals or equipment.
  • Manages product inventory at the customer including deliveries to process units and offloading to customer tanks.
  • Adjusts chemical feed levels to meet optimal chemical performance based on routine testing and monitoring; Delivers chemical and compiles trial data at the customer site
  • Alerts the site manager of any problems or opportunities with the customer and begins to troubleshoot issues
  • Conducts expanded testing of process variables to identify dosage improvements or mechanical impacts
  • Specs out, sets up, maintains and troubleshoots monitoring and feed equipment
  • Works with the site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance.
  • Conducts lab testing, repair and install chemical feed equipment, input numbers into excel, inventory control, chemical transfers, and maintain a positive customer (mill personnel) relationship.
