This position involves providing community-based mental health services to youth aged 6-21 and their families. The Support Counselor will work with clients during difficult times, offering guidance, teaching distress tolerance skills, and supporting them in navigating challenging conversations or events that exacerbate their mental health symptoms. A key aspect of the role is responding effectively to crisis situations and implementing safety and treatment plans. Services are delivered in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, with interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client. Documentation of services and interventions is also a core responsibility. The Kaiser Wraparound Program is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca Family of Agencies, aiming to provide support and services to help children maintain the lowest possible level of care and avoid out-of-home placements. Services for families will take place in-person in the Concord and Mount Diablo communities, with other work being completed remotely.
