About The Position

Providing support to the Navy cell and bench area. This role involves participating in bench assembly operations, performing various grinding, deburring, tapping, and reaming tasks to ensure proper fit, alignment, and operation of times. The position requires operating various hand tools, drill presses, and tap burners, as well as removing burrs on machined parts. Additionally, the role includes detecting and reporting defective materials and faulty operations, maintaining tooling, and recording all required data in Process Control Sheets, including finished dimensions, measuring instruments used, and serial numbers. Labour times and other related data must also be recorded on standard forms.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required for DOD requirements
• Must have HS diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of one years’ experience in a manufacturing environment working with hand tools required

Responsibilities

• Lubricate and perform minor maintenance functions
• Participate in bench assembly operations as workload requires
• Perform various grinding, deburring, tapping, tap burning, reaming, etc., to obtain proper fit, alignment and/or operation of times
• Operate various hand tools, drill presses, tap burner, etc.
• Remove burrs on all machined parts
• Detect and report defective materials and faulty operations to proper supervisor
• Maintain tooling
• Record all required data in Process Control Sheets including finished dimensions checked, measuring instruments used, serial numbers, etc.
• Record labour times and other related data on standard forms
