About The Position
Providing support to the Navy cell and bench area.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required for DOD requirements.
- Must have HS diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of one years’ experience in a manufacturing environment working with hand tools required.
Nice To Haves
- Tolerances are close but not difficult to attain.
Responsibilities
- Lubricate and perform minor maintenance functions
- Participate in bench assembly operations as workload requires perform various grinding, deburring, tapping, tap burning reaming, etc., to obtain proper fit, alignment and/or operation of times.
- Operate various hand tools, drill presses, tap burner, etc.
- Remover burrs on all machined parts
- Detect and report defective materials and faulty operations to proper supervisor.
- Maintain tooling.
- Record all required data in Process Control Sheets including finished dimensions checked, measuring instruments used, serial numbers, etc.
- Record labour times and other related data on standard forms
