About The Position

Dayton Physicians Network is seeking a Support Associate - Front Office to join their independently owned Urology practice. This role provides support to all functions within the medical office, including managing patient check-in/out, collecting payments, updating patient information, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative tasks. The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays, promoting work-life balance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least one (1) year of previous experience working in a Medical Office or administrative position
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience working with a Practice Management system
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years’ experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer and route incoming calls
  • Patient check in and out
  • Collect co-payments/deductibles
  • Update patient demographic information
  • Schedule appointments
  • Pull, file, scan medical records
  • Various administrative tasks as required
  • Obtains, verifies and updates patient demographic information
  • Collects and records co-payments and/or deductibles
  • Verifies charts contain all necessary paperwork
  • Schedules return appointments, as required
  • Scans medical records for EMR as needed or requested
  • Ensures patient waiting area is free from trash and clutter
  • Assists other office support positions as needed or requested

  • Other duties as assigned
