About The Position

Chevron Corporation is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies. Through its subsidiaries that conduct business worldwide, the company is involved in virtually every facet of the energy industry. Chevron explores for, produces, and transports crude oil and natural gas; refines, markets, and distributes transportation fuels and lubricants; manufactures and sells petrochemicals and additives; generates power; and develops and deploys technologies that enhance business value in every aspect of the company’s operations. Chevron is based in Houston, Texas. Supply & Trading (S&T) is Chevron’s commercial link to the market, applying its knowledge of commodity markets, the crude-to-customer value chain and transportation logistics in the crude, gas and refined products markets to maximize the value of enterprise assets and to enable commercial success. S&T buys, sells and supplies crude oil, refined products, natural gas and gas liquids to support Chevron's crude and gas production operations and its refining and marketing network. S&T integrates enterprise-wide supply and trading capabilities to capture commercial opportunities across the entire value chain through commercial functional excellence. Chevron S&T, as a member of the advisory board for the Texas A&M Trading, Risk and Investment Program (TRIP), supports the program by hiring graduating students through the university’s permanent hiring process. Commercial Skills Development Program Full-Time: Candidate students who may not have been able to intern with Chevron or students whose TRIP internships may not have provided experience across Oil and Gas main commodities (Refined Products/Renewables, Crude Oil, Gas/NGL/LNG) will be candidates for our CSD Program as the first permanent position. The program is designed to accelerate the commercial capabilities of the individual by providing hands-on experience across various commodities (crude, refined products, NGL, LNG, and natural gas). The development program is split into 4 six-month rotational work assignments, based on candidates’ background and development needs. Participants are expected to gain cross-S&T exposure by having rotational assignment in our Products/Renewables, Crude, and Gas Supply and Trading organization, as well as participating in one rotation related to our Shipping, Value Chain Optimization, or Value Chain Strategy and Commercial organizations. Direct into Job Assignment: Candidate students who interned with Chevron or whose TRIP internships have provided them with enough experience and exposure to commodities and business across supply and trading organizations may be considered for non-rotational positions directly into one of our S&T organizations. Individuals hired directly into a non-rotational job will work with their direct supervisor on development opportunities and overall exposure to our S&T business and leaders. Ideal candidates will be able to learn quickly, identify issues, and propose innovative solutions in a commercial environment.
