About the Origination track within the ST&S graduate program ST&S is bp's face to the traded markets in oil, natural gas, power, chemicals, renewables and finance. ST&S's role is to improve bp value through distinctive supply, commodity trading, risk management and technology skills. This is underpinned by outstanding analytics, finance, control and compliance infrastructure. ST&S has a dynamic and highly skilled workforce, which builds value by combining analysis and commercial innovation with the material asset base of bp. Our Origination organization works with our partners in the Americas and globally to buy, sell and move energy, integrating our products and services to provide solutions for 12,000 customers in 140 countries. As an Origination Graduate, you will work alongside experienced commercial professionals to develop energy solutions for customers across wholesale natural gas, power and natural gas liquids. We invest in our Graduates through structured rotational experiences to build exposure to customer engagement, commercial strategy, deal structuring, and market fundamentals helping them develop into future Origination professionals. Our rotations include natural gas and power origination, structured products, and trading operations. Areas of exposure can include, but are not limited to: Market fundamentals, physical operations, finance and risk Ad hoc initiatives, problem solving and/or projects Commercial negotiation and relationship management Deal structuring, valuation and analysis Cross-functional project work and strategic initiatives High Pressure to generate revenue while staying within compliance and regulatory guidelines Contract development, execution and deal lifecycle management

Requirements

Working toward Bachelor’s degree
Graduating between December 2026 and May 2027
Current Cumulative GPA Minimum 3.0
Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions (bp will not support U.S. Immigration sponsorship for full-time or long-term employment)
Must be available to start on agreed upon global program start date (June 21, 2027).

Developing and continuously evolving a globally diversified portfolio that accesses new markets, commodities and commercial opportunities
