About The Position

This position is responsible for the receiving and delivery of all inbound packages to UAMS. This position unloads delivery vehicles, inspects incoming receipts for damage and accuracy, pick up returns from end users to be shipped out, moves large cartons and equipment as necessary, as well as generates documentation of packages and equipment movement through use of tracking device and manual logs.

Requirements

High School/GED or formal educational equivalent
Six (6) months previous experience in supply distribution required, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Current Driver's License & Clean Driving Record
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Unload packages from UPS, FedEx, etc., inspect all packages for damage, inspect all shipping labels, receive and stage orders for delivery to hospital.
Delivers inbound packages to all areas of the hospital main campus.
Utilizes Handheld Tracking Device and manual logs to document movement of items delivered on a daily basis.
Trains staff in proper department procedures; documents training with all new employees; follows up to ensure employee competency and advises supervisor on employee performance.
Provides relief supervision in the absence of the Supervisor and leads staff in the proper execution of daily work assignments.
Counsels employees and makes disciplinary recommendations to the supervisor or manager as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
