About The Position

This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work, including inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities. The work typically involves stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations, or functions that are narrow in scope. Assignments require a good working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, and guidelines, an understanding of organizational needs, and analytical ability to define problems, collect data, and recommend actions. The role involves performing operator, data entry, and retrieval functions, transmitting and receiving data electronically, extracting data for management reports, and performing administrative and financial duties. Specific responsibilities include tool room management, hazardous material control, and coordination of supply transactions. The position requires proficiency in manual and automated supply administration methods and a comprehensive understanding of the entire supply system.

Requirements

  • Must have a good working knowledge of U.S.M.C. policies, methods, and technical publications.
  • Must be familiar with manual and automated methods of supply administration.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Overall knowledge of a complete supply system to include research, stock control, demand processing, issuing, storage, and handling of supplies and equipment.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in supply functions.
  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift, 3rd and weekend shift.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule Mon-Fri, Sun-Thur and Fri-Mon as required.
  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI), IAW DTM-08-003 “Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance as required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization).
  • Perform operator, data entry, and retrieval functions.
  • Transmit and receive data via disk, modem, and other electronic means.
  • Extract data, formulate and interpret management reports, create archives, backups, and data saves.
  • Perform a wide range of administrative and financial duties within the Material Control Division.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence, filing and typing.
  • Perform tool room management IAW Tool Control Program (acting as Tool Control Program Coordinator).
  • Perform Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program duties.
  • Perform Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) Program Coordinator duties.
  • Perform Hazardous Material Control and Management Supervisor requirements.
  • Order and receive aircraft parts and material.
  • Expedite repairable and consumable material requisitions and inform Maintenance Control on status changes.
  • Prepare Transmittal Listings as required by TYCOM.
  • Maintain pack-up and pre-expended bin inventories.
  • Provide daily Aircraft Material Readiness Report updates and reconciliation to parent command.
  • Coordinate limited aspects of technical supply related to local supply activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining material requirements list, inventories, bench stock, critical items list, receipt, storage and issue records.
  • Coordinate, process and expedite supply transactions.
  • Order parts as defined by Aircraft Mechanics and Technical Manuals.
  • Determine and forecast material requirements, and establish minimum stock levels.
  • Prepare documentation necessary for turn-in or repair of repairable components.
  • Analyze to define or recognize the dimension of problems involved, collect necessary data, establish facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
