About The Position

The Supply Technician (ISSA) role is a full-time, hourly position located at Fort Riley, KS. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong working knowledge of Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) or equivalent to the skill set of MOS 92A, level 2 or 3. The technician must be familiar with all working areas and functions of an Installation Supply Support Activity. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance, ensuring inventory and location surveys are performed correctly, establishing and maintaining automated and manual records, preparing production reports, retrieving and analyzing historical files, assisting the supervisor with reconciliation and reporting, processing Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs) and Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs), operating material handling equipment, assisting with work schedules, maintaining a professional workstation, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of a 92A level 2 or 3.
Experience with Logistics Information Systems (LIS) such as Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A), Logistic Information Warehouse (LIW) and Unique Item Tracking (UIT).
Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to quickly research and collect the necessary applicable data, to establish the applicable facts, and to take or recommend action based upon proven applications or interpretation of systematically established guidelines.
Demonstrated knowledge to operate and perform required duties using GCSS-A.
Be able to pick up and movement items within a 50 lbs. restriction.
Be capable of climbing and working on equipment at 10 feet above ground limit.
Be capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years in order to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.
Ability to pass a post offer drug screen clearance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
18 years of age.
Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks related to the position.
Valid state driver's license.
GCSS Army Certified.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Must be computer literate.
Must possess good communication skills.
Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

Provides technical guidance to shipping and receiving clerks.
Ensures that inventories and location surveys are performed in accordance with established procedures.
Establish and maintain automated and manual records, posts receipts and turn-ins in GCSS-A, and perform due-ins and due-outs for items on-hand or waiting to be shipped.
Prepares production report based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats and governing rules, regulations and policies.
Retrieves and analyzes historical and activity files pertinent to system rejected documents.
Assists Supervisor reconciling activity records for monthly and quarterly reporting and status reviews.
Processes Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs), Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) and track such materials until resolved.
Operates materiel handling equipment (MHE) as required.
Assists Supervisor with schedules for work based on established guidelines and priorities in accordance with governing rules, regulations, and policies.
Assist within the department as directed by the Manager or Supervisor.
Maintain workstation and department area in a highly professional manner and appearance.
Performs other duties assigned.
