About The Position

Amentum is immediately hiring a qualified F/A-18 O-level Supply Technician in support of U.S. Navy Aviation maintenance operations at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities are to account/inventory, receive, store and distribute all assigned MetCal equipment related to organizational level maintenance. Incumbent will be charged with all facets of the METCAL program and is expected to work independently in the performance of complex and varied duties. Work within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines. May contact representatives of commercial firms to obtain information on new items of supply or representatives of government agencies regarding the utilization of property. Verify materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Performs miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.

Requirements

Must have high school or equivalent diploma.
Must have three (3) years of Naval Aviation material and Supply System experience.
Must possess thorough knowledge of Naval supply system procurement, inventory, tracking, and reporting requirement.
Must have four years’ experience as a logistic specialist as an Aviation Supply Technician
Must have successfully completed Support Equipment (SE) Asset Manager Certification Course (D-555-0026) and possess NEC 9590.
Knowledge of the Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) and the Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) are required.
Knowledge of governing supply systems/programs, policies, and procedures is required.
Possess a valid state driver’s license.
Secret Clearance Required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Nice To Haves

Prior F/A-18 O-Level experience highly preferred.
Tool Control Coordinator experienced preferred.
Experience is desired in the following systems: METCAL, IMRL, LAMS, OOMA, NALCOMIS, FEDLOG.
