About The Position

The Supply Technician is responsible for the daily routine of researching, validating, initiating requisitions, and preparing daily correspondence and reports. This role requires proficiency in requisitioning/procuring, inventory control, storing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and cataloging materials to support aircraft operations. The individual will also attend meetings and conferences as necessary. Key responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting field-related blueprints, schematics, customer technical orders, quality assurance standard practices, maintenance instructions, military specifications, and Local Operating Instructions (LOI). The Supply Technician must comply with all Department of Defense (DOD), Company, and Manufacturer directives and policies. Familiarity with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series instructions is required. The role also entails self-directed adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, Quality Assurance, Security, Explosive Safety, and other applicable Navy/Air Force and Company Program requirements. The Supply Technician must be capable of performing and accepting responsibilities of a LEAD position.

  • Knowledgeable in the Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) Management Information System and Aviation Logistics Material Management System (ALMMS) for all required user techniques and applications.
  • Ability to operate stationary and portable bar code readers.
  • Ability to design, develop, document and maintain requisition logs and files, stock records and files and work accomplished records.
  • Ability to write item descriptions for a range of new items entering the supply channels of an agency or field operation.
  • Ability to use common hand tools and equipment to package, handle, and transport equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Ability to review, interpret and analyze Activity Asset Reports in their entirety and other related Support Equipment (SE) dispositions.
  • Ability to determine and recommend allowance adjustments.
  • Ensuring all security that is applicable.
  • Four (4) years experience specializing in a DOD aviation/material control environment.
  • Familiarity with DOD procedures, regulations and directives concerning logistics support and supply systems; to include the IMRL and ALMMS programs as it applies to organizational and intermediate level maintenance.
  • Ability to provide training and indoctrination to all assigned employees in the requirements of Material Control operations.
  • Successfully completed approved course or training as required by Company, State/Local Govt, DOD, regulation/Instruction.
  • Valid state operator's license.
  • Ability to pass Government licensing requirements.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

  • Utilizing the Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) Management Information System and Aviation Logistics Material Management System (ALMMS).
  • Operating stationary and portable bar code readers.
  • Visually inspecting tools and equipment for wear or defects.
  • Preparing written damage reports and disposal/turn-in documentation.
  • Designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining requisition logs and files, stock records and files, and work accomplished records.
  • Engraving, etching, tagging, or marking tools and equipment for accountability.
  • Writing item descriptions for new items entering supply channels.
  • Using common hand tools and equipment to package, handle, and transport equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Maintaining an accurate accounting and reporting system for Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) property.
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing Activity Asset Reports and other related Support Equipment (SE) dispositions.
  • Determining and recommending allowance adjustments.
  • Ensuring all applicable security measures are followed.
  • Adhering to the Tool Control Program.
  • Complying with established general and industrial safety rules and regulations.
  • Performing other duties and Collateral Duty assignments as assigned and directed by management.
