About The Position

This position is located at Bassett Army Community Hospital, Fort Wainwright, AK. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change. Duties: Utilize an automated database system for supply requisitioning, property accounting and performing inventories. Maintain the supply of communications electronics equipment and computer hardware and software. Act as the focal point for supply and property accountability as the principle hand receipt holder. Requisition, receive, store, issue and dispose of property equipment and supplies.

Requirements

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
A pre-placement medical examination is required.
US Citizens
One year of specialized experience which includes performing research to resolve supply errors; taking supply inventory or editing supply requisitions; and utilizing an automated database system or software program to prepare documents or reports.
This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
You must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
