About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking a Supply Technician 1 for Facilities Management. This role involves researching, purchasing, receiving, issuing, and delivering warehouse stock and custodial equipment/parts. The position requires maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring proper stock location, and timely restocking of consumable items. The Supply Technician will also be responsible for labeling and inventorying newly received stock, performing TMA data entry, maintaining purchase records, and managing custodial warehouse supply and equipment inventory control and reporting. Direct support to custodial warehouse customers is also a key function. The role demands good work adjustment, adaptability, flexibility, sound judgment, and motivation. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 6:00 pm – 2:30 am, subject to change based on university needs. A valid driver's license is required.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included maintaining inventory records, inventory storage and handling, shipping and receiving materials and equipment, and/or ordering supplies, equipment and materials; OR one year of experience as a Supply Assistant in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

  • Forklift experience or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Research, purchase, receive, issue, and deliver warehouse stock and custodial equipment/parts.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as required.
  • Check daily to ensure all inventory items are properly stocked with the necessary minimum and maximum quantities.
  • Ensure all stock items are located in their proper bin locations for easy retrieval.
  • Restock consumable items such as equipment parts, rags, gloves, chemicals, paper stock, etc.
  • Ensure newly received stock is labeled and placed in inventory in a timely manner.
  • Perform TMA data entry and maintain accurate purchase records.
  • Perform custodial warehouse supply and custodial equipment property inventory control and reporting.
  • Provide direct support to custodial warehouse customers.
  • Demonstrate good work adjustment, adaptability, flexibility, sound judgment, and motivation.
