About The Position

10x Genomics is looking for a Temporary Production Planner to join the Planning team. The ideal candidate is expected to Plan, schedule, and coordinate products through the production cycle. Manages production plans to ensure material availability. Interfaces with procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and quality control to review supply vs demand, prioritize production orders, and manage potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling. Works to resolve labor and material shortages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of Planning experience
• Proficient in using MRP for supply chain and inventory planning
• Experience with Production Planning, Item Master Data (Bills of Material, Routing, lead time, lot size, safety stock), and Capacity Planning
• Effective team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Sense of urgency regarding objectives and timelines, while maintaining flexibility to shifting priorities
• Must have the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations.
• Strong organizational, communication and reporting skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in ERP systems, Oracle Cloud preferred
• APICS certification desirable

Responsibilities

• Plan and create production orders for components and assemblies considering demand and lead times to optimize stock levels across the global network.
• Generate MRP and coordinate with Procurement to secure materials for production orders, plus manage inventory including safety stock and shelf life.
• Interface with Logistics regarding material receipt and movement, with Manufacturing concerning scheduling and capacity, and with Quality for Quality Control coordination.
• Communicate regularly with cross functional partners, such as Commercial and Finance to make inventory decisions based on trends, inventory targets, and customer order fill rates.
• Plan and coordinate balanced inventory levels by Distribution Center.
• Establish and track KPIs such as Backorder, On Time Request, WO Shortage.
• MRP master data maintenance including lead time, lot size, stocking levels.
