These pillars of our company are demonstrated throughout both the employee and customer experience. The Supply Planning Manager at Lightspeed is a supply chain powerhouse. They lead supply chain execution through knowledgeable guidance and thoughtful delegation. This role is responsible for supply planning strategy and execution, working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Finance while managing day-to-day CM relationships to ensure alignment of demand and supply. The critical work of the Supply Planning Manager includes ownership of our rolling forecast, inventory coverage targets, and the supervision and development of our Supply Chain Team. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Infor CloudSuite Distribution (CSD) or comparable ERP; experience with advanced planning and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supply and demand data and drive decisions.
  • Skilled negotiator who drives mutually beneficial outcomes with material suppliers and CMs.
  • Ability to act independently.
  • Effective at motivating and developing team members toward high performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interface effectively across internal functions and with external suppliers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years in a supply chain or sourcing leadership role, including direct supervision of staff.
  • 5+ years in a lead planning and sourcing role, including both domestic and international sourcing.
  • Experience with customs compliance and freight broker management.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and PLM systems; CSD experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the rolling forecast; ensure contract manufacturers (CMs) are actively executing to plan and resolve shortages, capacity constraints, and schedule deviations as they arise.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Finance to align supply planning with demand signals and business priorities; contribute to inventory coverage strategy and supplier performance standards.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for CMs; manage production scheduling and ensure PO quantities are aligned with CM output and reflected accurately in ERP.
  • Manage raw material procurement planning in coordination with CMs and oversee NPI sourcing and procurement in partnership with Engineering and Product.
  • Oversee purchase order management from initiation to receipt, including AP invoice approval and resolution of receiving and invoicing issues; delegates day-to-day PO execution and kanban purchasing to the Junior Buyer within established approval thresholds.
  • Maintain ERP planning criteria (order quantities, safety stock, lead times) and product master data to support accurate supply planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure customs compliance and inbound logistics execution through delegation and oversight.
  • Drive supplier and CM performance through active monitoring of on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and issue resolution; escalate commercial, contractual, and high-value decisions to the Sr. Operations Manager.
