The Supply Planning & Forecasting Manager will maintain the integrity of the supply plan and take marketing corrective actions to ensure supply plan stability. This role manages daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable supply chain and efficient demand management. The manager will use their knowledge of business, customers, markets, and products to challenge demand plan assumptions and improve its quality and robustness. Utilizing experience with Master Supply Planning and Demand Disaggregation, the role balances supply and demand to achieve financial and service objectives, while stabilizing the supply chain and optimizing supply chain tensions to improve supply forecast accuracy. This position establishes collaborative business partner relationships to create common supply chain processes and procedures. The manager leads continuous improvement projects aligned with the organization’s Operating System and Functional Excellence direction, leveraging common processes, tools, and information systems using Data Management tools including Minitab. They will support Corporate Supply Chain Management initiatives and lead the regional/global disaggregation and supply forecasting process for global alignment. The role consults with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain Planning teams to facilitate forecasting processes and works with the Demand Control Leader to understand the implications of near order trends on availability. Daily problem-solving and continuous improvement opportunities are approached strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets using Cross Functional Project Management tools and techniques. The manager utilizes Six Sigma tools, including Voice of the Customer and Finite Element Analysis, to develop new internal and external processes, projects, and employee involvement plans. They will develop, understand, and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), assess supply chain performance gaps against target deliverables, and interpret KPIs to understand end-customer impact. The role involves extracting, transforming, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting planning data to mine useful information, suggest conclusions, and support value-creating decision-making. Additionally, the manager will manage, coach, and develop staff, setting goals in training, development, performance, and career planning. They will control the life-cycle of all problems using knowledge of Problem Management to proactively prevent recurrence of incidents and minimize adverse impact on the organization.
