The Supply Planning & Forecasting Manager will maintain the integrity of the supply plan, take marketing corrective actions to ensure supply plan stability, and manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable supply chain and efficient demand management. This role requires challenging demand plan assumptions using knowledge of business, customers, markets, and products to improve the quality and robustness of the demand plan. The manager will utilize experience with Master Supply Planning and Demand Disaggregation to balance supply and demand, achieving financial and service objectives while stabilizing the supply chain and optimizing supply chain tensions to improve supply forecast accuracy. Additionally, the role involves creating common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships, leading continuous improvement projects aligned with the organization’s Operating System and Functional Excellence direction, and leveraging common processes, tools, and information systems using Data Management tools including Minitab. The manager will support Corporate Supply Chain Management initiatives and lead the regional/global disaggregation and supply forecasting process for global alignment. This includes consulting with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain Planning teams to facilitate forecasting processes, and working with the Demand Control Leader to understand the implications of near order trends on availability. The role requires a strategic and tactical approach to daily problem-solving and continuous improvement opportunities to achieve performance targets using Cross Functional Project Management tools and techniques. The manager will utilize Six Sigma tools, including Voice of the Customer and Finite Element Analysis, to develop appropriate new internal and external processes, projects, and employee involvement plans. Developing, understanding, and improving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is crucial, as is assessing gaps in supply chain performance against target deliverables and interpreting KPIs to understand end-customer impact. The role involves extracting, transforming, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting planning data to mine useful information, suggest conclusions, and support value-creating decision-making. Finally, the manager will manage, coach, and develop staff, setting goals in training, development, performance, and career planning, and controlling the life-cycle of all problems using knowledge of Problem Management to proactively prevent recurrence of incidents and minimize adverse impact on the organization.
