Supply Distribution Tech - Supply Chain - Full Time Days

About The Position

Responsible for replenishing and controlling inventory of medical supplies for nursing floors and ancillary departments using an established par-level system, while maintaining stock levels in the distribution center and assisting with other warehouse functions. The role requires accurate, fast-paced work, the ability to handle multiple functions simultaneously, and minimal supervision. The technician uses the Meditech Supply Chain System to perform job functions and works cooperatively as a team member.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience in inventory control or distribution functions, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Basic computer skills.
Good mathematical and communication skills.
Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Valid Tennessee driver's license and must be insurable.
Ability to stand for most of the day and to walk, stoop, carry, and lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work accurately at a fast pace and handle multiple functions simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Inventory and replenish par levels for all supply areas.
Download information from the computer to create pick tickets.
Pull stock and deliver it to departments daily.
Perform audit counts as directed.
Restock supply rooms and the warehouse using proper rotation techniques; maintain organized storage areas and properly labeled shelves.
Notify Purchasing of potential stock-out situations.
Handle and store sterile items properly to maintain sterility.
Check expiration dates, remove outdated stock from shelves, and notify the Warehouses Purchasing Clerk.
Keep stockrooms and storage areas neat, clean, and organized.
Prioritize responsibilities to ensure duties are completed.
Use the Meditech Supply Chain System to perform job functions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work cooperatively as a team member, maintain a good attitude, take responsibility, and assist peers when needed.
