About The Position

As a Supply Chain Technician, you’ll support those that are in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members to positively impact our mission of making communities healthier®. The Supply Chain Team has meaningful impact on high-quality patient care in supporting all hospital departments. As a member of the team, you get to make a different in the patient safety and health outcomes within our community. Sovah Health is a regional health care delivery system with 2 hospital campuses – Danville and Martinsville. Each facility has a 24/7 Emergency Room, Outpatient Imaging Center, and over 20 primary and specialty care physician clinics. Our Danville location is also a teaching hospital that trains medical students and physician residents specializing in family and internal medicine.

Requirements

• Applicants need to possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak, understand).

Responsibilities

• Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels.
• Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into inventory system, delivers items to departments or facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management.
• Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed.
