About The Position

The Supply Chain Technician supports patient care by ensuring hospital departments have the supplies and resources needed to operate efficiently. The role receives, inspects, stores, tracks, and distributes medical and office supplies, maintains inventory records, processes requisitions, and responds to departmental requests. The technician works with hospital staff to deliver supplies promptly and keeps storage areas organized and clean. This is a full-time position at Highpoint Health – Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling supplies.
• Must successfully complete required skills competencies within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in supply chain, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and distribute medical and office supplies throughout hospital departments.
• Stock and replenish supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Perform routine inventory counts, monitor stock levels, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Process supply requisitions, document shipments, and enter inventory information into computer systems.
• Identify and report supply discrepancies, damaged shipments, or inventory concerns.
• Assist with incoming calls, receiving dock operations, and general departmental requests.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient supply storage environment.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure timely delivery of supplies that support patient care.
