About The Position

Shriners Children's Ohio is seeking a Supply Chain Technician to support its healthcare team and help improve children's lives. The position works 8-hour shifts on an as-needed basis. The technician maintains medical-center inventory, receives and processes freight, maintains storerooms and inventory records, processes requisitions and orders, and ensures supplies and equipment reach requesting departments in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of supply chain or materials management experience.
• Working computer ability and knowledge.
• Valid Ohio driver's license.
• Ability to consistently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of or experience with procurement, medical supplies, inventory control, and purchasing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and count stocked par levels throughout the medical center and replenish inventory daily or as needed.
• Develop and monitor economic order points and par-level statistics, adjusting them to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Receive and process incoming freight.
• Coordinate, maintain, and update physical storerooms and system information, including bin locations and labels.
• Assist with scheduled cycle counts and annual inventory as needed.
• Maintain appropriate professional and ethical relationships with sales representatives.
• Obtain complete supply descriptions, catalog numbers, and pricing as needed.
• Process stock and non-stock requisitions and place orders within 24 hours.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are delivered to requesting departments in a timely manner.
