Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple reports.
Ability to effectively present information to other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Ability to create Excel spreadsheets.
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
Must have experience driving a van or other large vehicle and must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license and excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

Examines incoming materials and supplies for breakage or damage.
Counts, sorts and otherwise verifies incoming materials and supplies against receiving documents and reports discrepancies. Provides purchasing with all manifests and delivery documentation.
Distributes stock to departments as indicated, manually or using material handling equipment.
Stores stock in designated locations. Notifies Purchasing Coordinator of stock levels.
Responsible for safety of all slings; oversees inspection and delivery of slings to all Units.
Must be able to lift without restrictions.
Helps in keeping stock rooms orderly and equipment ready for use.
Performs any other duties required to help patient care and maintenance of a smoothly operating department.
Participates in in-service, projects, or committees as assigned.
Maintains all certifications and licenses necessary for employment.
Demonstrates flexibility, open mindedness, and versatility in adjusting to changing environments and requirements as necessary.
Commits to continually improving his/her skills through participation in educational opportunities whether offered on the job, within, or outside of the facility, to increase knowledge of work-related issues.
Maintains a current knowledge of CCAC, federal, state and other regulations applicable to job.
Audits equipment and maintains inventory list of beds, mattresses, mats, concentrators, nebulizers, tabs, motion detectors, coolers, etc.
