About The Position

UW Medicine Supply Chain Management enhances our patient care experience by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise. This position reports to the local Supply Chain Materials & Logistics Supervisor/Manager and supports patient care at this 281-bed, community-based nonprofit hospital in North Seattle. The role involves maintaining an appropriate level of general, medical, and surgical supplies throughout the facility by utilizing effective stocking procedures.

Requirements

  • High school graduation AND 6 months of supply chain experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the minimum job requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining adequate stock and distributing general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment throughout the hospital
  • Manage rental equipment using Supply Chain point-of-use (POU) systems
  • Use tech like handhelds, package scanners, and Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) to ensure proper inventory and cost allocations
