About The Position

This local supply chain position is responsible for the supply chain operation at a specific hospital. The Supply Chain Tech reports to the lead supply chain manager within the hospital and must become familiar with Shriners Hospitals’ policies and procedures and Supply Chain Departmental policies and procedures. The role requires basic knowledge of fundamental business principles, the ability to work independently, and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Shriners Portland is seeking a PRN Supply Chain Tech.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• State driver’s license for the state in which the facility is located.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic knowledge of fundamental business principles.
• Must become familiar with Shriners Hospitals’ policies and procedures and Supply Chain Departmental policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of Supply Chain/Materials Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and dispatch functions of supply chain management.
• Assist with creating and maintaining max/min reorder points to ensure product availability within corporate objectives.
• Support, advise, and assist departmental managers at the hospital with supply chain needs.
• Support and participate in Corporate Supply Chain initiatives.
• Assist with cycle and inventory counts consistent with corporate guidelines.
• Assist with local hospital recalls.
