Our summer internships are full-time (40 hours/week), paid positions lasting 10-11 weeks. As a Supply Chain or Supply Management Intern, you'll gain exposure to key supply chain functions, work alongside experienced leaders, and contribute to projects that support critical business objectives. Through hands-on experience, you'll develop valuable skills, expand your network, and make a real impact on the organization. Supply Chain: Integrates demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and continuous improvement to drive cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, resiliency, and service performance across Medtronic’s global business units. Plans, sources, manufactures, and distributes medical technologies worldwide, ensuring high-quality products reach hospitals, clinicians, and patients safely, reliably, and on time. Supply Management: Identifies, selects, and manages suppliers to ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of materials, components, and services that support patient therapies worldwide. Drives supplier performance, mitigates supply risks, ensures regulatory and quality compliance, and delivers cost savings through contract management, supplier development, and strategic procurement initiatives.
Requirements
- Working toward a bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management or a related major with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027, Spring 2028, Winter 2028, or Spring 2029.
- Ability to participate full time, 40 hours per week, as part of the intern cohort from June 1-August 13 for semester system programs or June 14-August 20 for quarter system programs.
- Applicants for Medtronic’s Summer Internship Program must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Medtronic does not sponsor work authorization for internship positions. Individuals on temporary visa classifications, including E, F‑1 (CPT or OPT), H‑1, H‑2, L, B, J, or TN, as well as anyone who requires employment sponsorship now or in the future, are not eligible for the Program.
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

- Relevant academic project or internship experience
- Technical writing skills
- Experience creating documentation, project summaries, or Supply Chain presentations.
