About The Position

Type One Energy is seeking a supply chain intern to support projects and day-to-day activities across the supply chain function. The internship provides hands-on exposure to supplier identification and engagement, contract administration, supply chain analytics, inventory management, ERP systems, and logistics. The intern will work with the Supply Chain team and cross-functional partners, contributing to projects that support effective supply chain operations. The specific responsibilities may vary according to business priorities and the intern’s skills and interests.

This is a 12-week internship in Knoxville, Tennessee, during Summer 2027, starting May 24, 2027. The position pays $25–$30 per hour and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. It reports to the Sr. Director Supply Chain Operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management.
• Previous work experience is required; experience may be in any industry or type of position.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with data and learning new systems and processes.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support contract management, including tracking NDAs, renewals, agreements, and related documentation.
• Assist with supplier research and sourcing, including identifying and gathering information on potential suppliers.
• Support vendor management and engagement, including maintaining supplier information and assisting with communications and follow-up.
• Organize and analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and develop reports or summaries to support decision-making.
• Assist with ERP and warehouse-related projects, including warehouse configuration, inventory data, and inventory management processes.
• Support logistics activities, including shipment coordination, tracking, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and other departments on projects and process-improvement opportunities.
