About The Position

Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers. Responsibilities are within the Supply Chain and Logistics Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines. Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Solves complex problems. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and expedites the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.
  • Coordinates with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain.
  • Identifies bottlenecks or problem areas and escalates or proposes solutions.
  • Works with suppliers to resolve issues.
  • May assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements.
  • Monitor suppliers to ensure compliance with schedules and product conformity.
  • Identify and enforce supplier priorities for product delivery and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address schedule delays, contractual non-compliance, and develop recovery plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders (procurement, engineering, manufacturing) to provide updates, align requirements, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Conduct on-site supplier assessments to evaluate capacity, capability, and readiness for work statements.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and support procurement strategies.
  • Facilitate process improvements to boost supplier performance and delivery outcomes when needed.
